[quote]Heya, Spike.
For today's issue of the RSD newsletter, I've decided to address something that I feel is of PARAMOUNT importance. Something so crucial, so fundamental, that it can literally make the difference between going home alone and crying your sorrows to your stuffed turtle "Shelldon" in between fits of chronic masturbation, and going home with the girl of your dreams and stuffing HER turtle. Eewww. I don't even know what that was supposed to mean. Banging her, I suppose. Anyway. What is this crucial thing that I speak of?
THE FIRST APPROACH OF THE NIGHT.
When you first walk into the club. You've checked your coat, you've got your drink, and you've settled into a nice spot where you can see all the action. Now you're just standing there.
Doing nothing. CHODING.
Why? You know you're the man. You've hit the terrain countless times and pulled off some truly AMAZING stuff. But for some reason, tonight, you just can't seem to get off the ground. And as you continue to stand there, it starts to creep in. The old approach anxiety. The excuses. The failure scenarios. The FEAR. Time marches on. Now you've been in the club for thirty minutes, and you haven't made a single approach. Maybe you get another drink. You're paralyzed. Your feet seem riveted into place.
Your ami points out an attractive girl. "You open her," is your response. YOUR NIGHT IS SCREWED. Even the pros can be susceptible to this. I am from time to time,
which is why I bring it up. See, that very first approach of the night is always the toughest. The hardest for you to just close your eyes, grab your balls, walk
up and start talking.
If you don't dive in and do that first approach IMMEDIATELY upon entering the club, you run the risk of falling into the scenario I've described above. You know what's funny about this whole thing?
Nine times out of ten, when you actually do go ahead and make that first approach, as soon as you open the girl, ALL OF THAT ANXIETY JUST DISAPPEARS INTO THIN AIR. Now you're in state. Now you're ready to take control and have the most awesome time ever. Now you're LORDING the club. Go ahead. Do it and see if I'm wrong. I'm not.
That first approach of the night is often the most difficult hurdle
guys face in the terrain. That's why, whenever I go out, I DON'T check my coat, I DON'T get a
drink, the VERY FIRST THING I DO is APPROACH A GROUP OF WOMEN. I set
the tone for the night so I don't end up stranded on death row in a
CHODE CRYSTAL. I can take care of all that other stuff LATER.
First approach of the night. DO IT.
Parfait. 100%.
